In a Cognism article last updated October 5, 2026, Standard starts at $12,750 annually and Pro starts at $17,000 annually. Its current sales prospecting pricing page doesn't display those amounts, so treat them as vendor-published reference points, not a guaranteed offer. Cognism separately advertises CRM Enrichment from $12,000 per year on its product page.

For a go-to-market leader, the decision isn't just whether verified contact data is affordable. It's whether the contract buys enough usable contact reveals, mobile verification and data delivery for the field team to launch a repeatable motion. A cheap-looking starting figure can be a poor fit if the credits, permissions or territory coverage don't match how SDRs and AEs work.

On this page

Cognism pricing at a glance

Why Cognism's pricing sources differ

What Cognism Standard includes

What Cognism Pro adds and when it earns its premium

How Cognism credits work

CRM Enrichment, API and MCP costs

The costs that make a Cognism quote grow

Cognism pricing compared with Apollo, UpLead and Lusha

A Cognism quote checklist for GTM and procurement

When Cognism is worth paying for

Cognism pricing FAQs

Cognism pricing at a glance

Cognism sells Standard and Pro for sales prospecting, plus a separately priced CRM Enrichment product. Both prospecting packages include five seats according to the current pricing page, but the amount your organization pays depends on the quote and its usage entitlements. The published starting figures below come from Cognism's own October 2026 editorial material, while the enrichment figure appears on a current product page.

StandardFrom $12,750 per year, vendor editorial reference; confirm quote

Five seats included

Contact and company data

Firmographic, technographic and signal filters

AI company research, CSV enrichment and MCP/API access

ProFrom $17,000 per year, vendor editorial reference; confirm quote

Five seats included

Everything in Standard

Premium mobile data and verification on demand

Intent data for account prioritization

CRM EnrichmentFrom $12,000 per year, vendor product-page starting price

Available standalone or as an add-on

Usage-based pricing and ongoing record maintenance

Controlled updates to selected CRM records

Additional credits available

Cognism's main pricing page displays no public dollar amounts. Standard and Pro figures appear in a vendor article updated October 5, 2026. CRM Enrichment starts at $12,000/year on its current product page. All checked October 23, 2026; final scope, billing and taxes require a written quote.

The pricing distinction matters: a published starting figure isn't a signed price. You should request a single order form showing the package, included users, included credits, add-ons and renewal terms. Without that document, you're comparing Cognism against a self-serve data tool on unequal terms, and the comparison tells you little.

Cognism offering

Public annual reference (USD)

Included seats

What determines fit

Cognism Standard

From $12,750

Five

Routine prospecting, account research and contact reveals

Cognism Pro

From $17,000

Five

Mobile verification on demand and intent-led prioritization

Cognism CRM Enrichment

From $12,000

Confirm in quote

CRM coverage, refresh scope and controlled field updates

The table is a starting-point comparison, not a three-line price menu. CRM Enrichment can be bought by itself or added to prospecting, and its starting figure doesn't establish the price of a combined contract.

Why Cognism's pricing sources differ

Cognism's primary pricing page names Standard and Pro, and it asks visitors to speak with sales. A Cognism market intelligence article, updated October 5, publishes the annual starting figures above. Neither surface substitutes for the order form that specifies your credit allowance, seat count and contract term.

This difference creates a practical procurement rule: keep a screenshot or dated note of the published reference, then ask the seller to reconcile the quoted price against the current package. Don't assume a lower number in an older review is a live offer. It's probably stale. Likewise, don't accept a third-party estimate as Cognism's official rate.

Some search results still describe Platinum, Diamond, Grow or Elevate. Those names appear in older comparisons, but the live prospecting page currently uses Standard and Pro. Ask a rep to map any legacy package name in an old proposal to the current entitlements before you compare it.

Price sources aren't interchangeable Cognism's October 2026 editorial starting figures and its current quote-only pricing page answer different questions. Request the current US order form before treating either number as a purchasable package. Older Platinum, Diamond, Grow and Elevate descriptions may not match today's inclusions.

What Cognism Standard includes

Cognism Standard is the prospecting foundation for teams that need company and contact records, targeted lists and research inside a shared sales workflow. The current vendor page lists firmographic, technographic and signal-based filters, AI company research, CSV enrichment and MCP/API access. It also shows five included seats.

A workable Standard workflow begins with an ICP definition owned by RevOps. An SDR filters target accounts, checks the company context, reveals the people worth contacting and pushes only qualified records into the CRM. The account owner then needs a way to distinguish a newly sourced record from one that already exists. Otherwise, duplicate outreach and bad routing can consume more team time than the data saves.

Standard can make sense when reps mostly need contact discovery and account context, while a separate process handles qualification, messaging and sales coaching. It's not a reason to buy more contact volume before the team has decided which territories, personas and channels it will pursue.

What to verify in a Standard quote

You should verify the exact annual credit allocation, whether credits are pooled across seats, which fields are included in a reveal and what happens when the allowance runs out. The current page doesn't publish a per-seat credit allocation. Don't import an old credit figure from a blog post into a new budget, because it won't match your contract.

Ask the seller to demonstrate your team's actual path from target-account search to a deduplicated CRM record. Confirm whether the quoted integration and export permissions cover the workflows you intend to run. An integration logo isn't proof that the required fields, permissions or writeback rules are included in your order.

What Cognism Pro adds and when it earns its premium

Cognism Pro adds advanced prospecting capabilities to Standard, notably premium mobile data, on-demand mobile verification and intent data. The right buyer isn't just a larger team. It's a team whose outbound motion depends on reaching named decision-makers by phone and prioritizing accounts with a relevant buying signal.

Imagine a product launch aimed at IT leaders across several markets. Product marketing has defined the problem and the offer, but SDRs need a reliable path to the people responsible for the category. Pro is worth investigating when phone verification could reduce wasted dialing and intent signals could help the team sequence account outreach. Those benefits still need proof on your actual ICP, and you shouldn't assume them from a vendor case study.

The verification service is especially relevant when a rep has a small list of high-priority contacts. Instead of treating every exported number as equally reliable, the team can ask for an on-demand check on the records that matter most. The quote should specify whether that check is included, limited or separately metered.

How to evaluate Cognism intent data

Cognism says its intent data uses Bombora's Company Surge signals to identify accounts researching relevant topics. That can help with timing, but intent alone doesn't establish purchase authority, budget or willingness to take a meeting. The sales manager still needs a playbook for deciding which signal merits a call.

Ask the vendor to show the available topics for your category, how frequently signals update and how they reach the CRM. Then compare the signal with an account list your reps already understand. A compelling intent dashboard is useful only if the resulting account actions are clear.

Contact discovery and routine outbound researchStart with Standard; verify credit allowance and CRM delivery.

Priority mobile outreach and on-demand verificationRequest a Pro quote and a sample of the exact territory and persona.

Account prioritization using intent signalsEvaluate Pro and confirm topic availability, signal delivery and usage rights.

Ongoing CRM record maintenance without prospecting seatsPrice standalone CRM Enrichment separately.

A small, self-serve experiment with a public checkout priceCompare a publicly priced alternative before accepting a custom Cognism contract.

How Cognism credits work

Cognism credits get consumed when a new contact is revealed, according to the current pricing page. One credit equals one revealed contact, and looking again at a previously revealed contact doesn't incur another reveal charge. The same credit balance is described as usable across prospecting, Enrich and API workflows.

That structure makes the definition of a new record central to your budget. A rep who repeatedly reviews a saved contact isn't necessarily consuming a new credit. A rep who searches a fresh territory and reveals many new contacts will use more, and you'll see it fast. Cognism says a contact that changes jobs can require another credit, so it's worth planning for account movement.

For a practical forecast, separate records searched, records revealed, records successfully matched to your ICP and records activated in an approved sequence. Those aren't equivalent measures. The reveal count is the starting proxy for credit use, and the other measures show whether the spend created useful pipeline inputs.

Estimate the credits and commitment your team will need

A simple credit forecast multiplies new contacts revealed per working period by the number of periods you plan to run. For example, a team expecting 2,000 new reveals per month should plan for 24,000 new reveals across 12 months, before job changes or other metered actions. Those are illustrative assumptions, not Cognism's included credits or a guaranteed cost. The calculator below doesn't model credits. It shows how the starting figures compound over a multi-year commitment.

Years of committed spend at the starting references: 1 yr

CRM Enrichment, from $12,000 a yearProduct-page starting figure; usage-based$12,000 per term

Cognism Standard, from $12,750 a yearVendor editorial starting figure; not a quote$12,750 per term

Cognism Pro, from $17,000 a yearVendor editorial starting figure; not a quote$17,000 per term

Multi-year totals are simple multiples of the starting figures, not offers. Credits, added seats, price changes at renewal and taxes aren't included. Use it to size the commitment, then ask for the real order form.

Here's a useful next step: take a real sample of recent outbound activity. Count how many distinct contacts reps revealed, how many were already in the CRM and how many became valid target-account conversations. Forecast from that sample rather than from an arbitrary credit allowance printed in an old article.

Do credits expire or roll over?

Cognism's public pricing FAQ explains how reveals consume credits, but doesn't state a universal rollover or expiration policy for every contract. Ask for the exact credit expiration, carryover and replenishment language in writing. The absence of a public rule isn't evidence that credits last forever, and you shouldn't budget as if they do.

For teams using the API or an AI assistant, credit usage deserves a separate owner. Cognism's MCP documentation says contact reveals still draw credits under the same account permissions and compliance settings. An automated workflow can be useful, but it shouldn't reveal records indiscriminately just because a search is easy to run.

CRM Enrichment, API and MCP costs

Cognism CRM Enrichment is a separate purchasing decision from a prospecting seat package. Its current product page advertises from $12,000 per year, describes pricing as usage-based and says it can be purchased standalone or alongside Standard or Pro. The vendor also describes ongoing record maintenance after the initial enrichment.

For RevOps, the real unit of value is a governed update to a record that matters. Before buying, decide which personas and fields need attention, who may approve a writeback and which systems are authoritative. A blanket refresh of every old record can burn budget without improving an active launch or territory plan.

Cognism's API and MCP offerings add another distribution path for the same data. Its October 15, 2026 announcement says MCP is available to customers on Standard or Pro. The API documentation requires suitable entitlements, and the MCP documentation says account credit balances and permissions still apply. Confirm the contractual rights for each workflow, even if the capability appears on a plan feature list.

What an MCP-enabled GTM workflow looks like

An AI assistant can use Cognism's MCP connector to search companies or people and return data under the account's permissions. That lets you build an account list inside a research workflow, but it doesn't replace the approval rules for who may reveal contact details or use them in outreach.

A responsible pattern is to search and count first, review the segment with the sales manager and reveal only the contacts selected for the campaign. Keep the decision record in the CRM or launch plan. The assistant can fetch data, but the GTM team stays responsible for relevance, compliant outreach and the approved message.

The costs that make a Cognism quote grow

A Cognism quote can change as the team adds seats, consumes credits, buys CRM Enrichment or expands its data workflows. The public pricing page explicitly offers additional credits and positions enrichment as an add-on. It doesn't publish a universal overage rate, seat expansion price or contract-wide renewal policy.

Ask about these costs before signing Request line items for extra seats, extra credits, CRM Enrichment, API entitlements, onboarding, support scope, taxes and renewal increases. The public package page doesn't provide enough detail to calculate these amounts reliably.

A cost review should include operational effort too. Someone has to own list governance, CRM matching, field mapping and the response to a rep who reports an unusable record. That work isn't a hidden Cognism fee, but it's certainly part of the true cost of running the motion.

Translate annual references into planning run rates

At the vendor-published starting figures, $12,750 divided by 12 is $1,062.50 per month for Standard and $17,000 divided by 12 is about $1,416.67 per month for Pro. The separate $12,000 enrichment starting figure equals $1,000 per month when divided across a year. These are accounting comparisons only, not evidence that Cognism sells monthly subscriptions or will quote your team at those rates.

The right finance model definitely keeps the annual committed amount, any one-time fees, credit top-ups and renewal exposure in separate rows. A monthly equivalent can help compare options, but it shouldn't hide an annual commitment.

Cognism pricing compared with Apollo, UpLead and Lusha

Cognism is easier to compare against competitors after you normalize the unit being purchased. Apollo and UpLead publish self-serve seat prices, while Lusha shows annual credits. Cognism's sales-led package requires a quote before a precise effective cost per usable contact can be calculated.

Product

Public starting paid reference (USD)

Billing basis

Main budget question

Cognism Standard

From $12,750 per year, vendor editorial reference

Custom quote, five seats shown

What annual credit allowance and data rights are included?

Apollo Basic

$49 per user per month

Annual billing

Which actions use credits beyond the seat subscription?

UpLead Essentials

$74 per month

Annual billing, single user

How many contact credits will the team need?

Lusha Starter

$37.45 per month

Annual billing; seat count not stated

Are the included credits sufficient for the channel mix?

Cognism, Apollo, UpLead and Lusha aren't interchangeable, and they don't solve the same problem. Apollo combines prospecting data with sales engagement functions, while UpLead and Lusha can be useful when the immediate need is narrower contact access. Cognism's pitch centers on verified B2B data and advanced mobile and intent workflows. Compare the actual target-market sample and data delivery requirements before using price as a proxy for quality.

For a closer enterprise comparison, see our ZoomInfo vs Cognism guide. For another self-serve price model, see our Apollo pricing breakdown.

The most revealing comparison is cost per accepted target contact, not cost per nominal database record. Ask each vendor for a sample drawn from the same accounts, titles and geographies. Measure coverage and correctness using your own definition of a usable contact, then compare how many records reached a sales-ready state. A high-volume cheap dataset can still be costly if reps spend their day repairing it.

A Cognism quote checklist for GTM and procurement

A Cognism quote should be evaluated as an operating agreement, not merely a license line. Get the following answers in writing before the sales team depends on the data for a launch. The checklist is also useful when comparing a renewal against a replacement vendor.

Questions to put on the order form

Name the current package and map any legacy tier terminology to its exact entitlements.

State the total annual contract amount, currency, payment timing and any one-time fees.

List included seats, admin access, added-seat prices and seat reduction rules.

Specify annual credits, any pooling rules and which actions consume credits.

State credit top-up prices, expiration, rollover and what happens at exhaustion.

Identify Pro-only mobile verification and intent entitlements, including limits.

Price CRM Enrichment separately, including the records and fields covered.

Confirm API and MCP access, search tokens, permissions and support boundaries.

Document renewal date, notice window, price changes and cancellation procedure.

Agree on an ICP-specific data sample and measurable acceptance criteria before launch.

The commercial owner should keep the final quote and order form, while RevOps owns the operational acceptance test. Sales leadership signs off on whether the records fit the territory plan. Legal and security review the contract and data-use terms, and they shouldn't be an afterthought. When those owners aren't named, a product can be purchased successfully but never adopted consistently.

How to test the data before committing

Choose a representative set of accounts from the intended launch segment, then write down the job titles and geographies the team needs. Ask Cognism to show the coverage for that same set and compare it with the incumbent tool. Record missing contacts, unusable fields and duplicate records without claiming that a small sample proves database-wide accuracy.

Next, have a rep run the actual handoff: research an account, reveal a contact, add or update the CRM record and prepare the approved outreach. The sales manager checks whether the contact is relevant and the record is usable. If the workflow fails, find out whether the cause is data quality, configuration or a process that wasn't defined.

When Cognism is worth paying for

Cognism is worth serious evaluation when the team needs a governed, repeatable source of B2B contact data, especially for phone-led prospecting and account research. Pro deserves a closer look when on-demand mobile verification and intent signals directly influence which accounts the field team works first.

It's a weaker starting point when the team only needs occasional contact lookups, hasn't settled on an ICP or wants to experiment without a sales-led quote. In that situation, a publicly priced option can expose the real usage pattern before the business commits to a larger data program.

Contact data doesn't solve launch enablement either. A rep can have the right number and still use the wrong positioning, outdated objection handling or an unapproved claim. That's a separate handoff from product marketing to the field team, and it needs its own owner and evidence of readiness.

What these tools don't confirm

Ship the change. The answers below distinguish current vendor documentation from details that only a written quote can settle.

How much does Cognism cost per year?

Cognism's own October 2026 editorial page lists Standard from $12,750 annually and Pro from $17,000 annually, but the current pricing page requires a personalized quote. The quote must state the allowance and top-up rate.

Is Cognism CRM Enrichment available without prospecting seats?

Cognism says CRM Enrichment is available as a standalone product or an add-on.
