Best Sales Enablement Software

26–39 minutes
Best Sales Enablement Software, featured image

The best sales enablement software is the one that gets your next product change from product marketing to every SDR, AE and CSM, and shows you who can explain it before a customer asks. This guide compares nine tools on that job: how a launch reaches reps in each one, which package unlocks quizzes and certifications, what users complain about, and who should skip each tool.

Two things changed the market since 2025. Seismic completed its merger with Highspot on August 18, 2026, and Showpad now sells the former Bigtincan products, including Brainshark. Eight of the nine tools sell by quote only, so we show the package where the features you need begin. We don't guess at prices.

Best Sales Enablement Software: Our Picks by Job

Our picks match each sales enablement tool to the job it does best after a release ships, from planning a launch program to proving reps can deliver the new message. The tool cards further down explain each pick.

What Is Sales Enablement Software?

Sales enablement software gives customer-facing teams the approved content, training, coaching and usage data they need, inside the tools where they sell. G2's category rules, which most buyers meet first, expect four things: a content repository, the ability to upload or create content, engagement analytics, and coaching or training, plus a CRM integration.

In practice the category splits into three kinds of tools, and the split matters more than any feature list.

  • Full enablement platforms such as Seismic, Highspot by Seismic and Showpad combine a governed content library, training, coaching and buyer-facing sharing. They fit teams with a dedicated enablement function and several launches a quarter.
  • Readiness and coaching platforms such as Mindtickle, Allego and SalesHood start from training, role play and certification, with content management added on.
  • In-workflow knowledge tools such as Spekit and Guru put short, verified answers and announcements where reps already work. They're lighter to roll out and weaker on formal training.

What sales enablement software is not

Several neighboring software categories get listed as sales enablement tools, but each one solves a different problem:

  • CRMs (Agentforce Sales, HubSpot Sales Hub) hold accounts, deals and activity. HubSpot appears in this guide because its sales content features cover the basics for small teams on HubSpot CRM.
  • Sales engagement tools (Outreach, Salesloft) run email and call sequences.
  • Conversation intelligence (Gong and similar) records and analyzes calls.
  • Learning management systems host courses for the whole company. Enablement platforms include lighter, sales-specific training.
  • Release notes and launch tools publish what changed to customers, and our guide to product launch software compares the tools that plan and announce launches. They don't train or check your own reps.

Sales enablement vs revenue enablement

Revenue enablement is the same discipline extended beyond new-business sales to every role that talks to customers: SDRs, AEs, customer success, account management and partners. Vendors increasingly market their platforms as revenue enablement, and Seismic's own guide calls it the next step for enablement teams. For a buyer, the practical question is whether CSMs and partners get licenses and content on the same terms as sellers, because a pricing or packaging change reaches customers through them too.

Seismic and Highspot Are One Company Now: What Changed in 2025 and 2026

Seismic completed its merger with Highspot on August 18, 2026, six months after the two companies signed the agreement on February 12. The combined company operates as Seismic, led by CEO Rob Tarkoff, and reports 2,500 customers and 3.5 million users. Highspot's product is now called Highspot by Seismic. Highspot's merger page tells customers that nothing changes in how they access or use Highspot today and that there are no migration plans.

Timeline of four deal dates from April 2025 to August 2026 that merged Bigtincan into Showpad and Highspot into Seismic
The Showpad and Bigtincan combination closed first; the Seismic and Highspot merger closed in August 2026.

Showpad's deal closed earlier. Vector Capital bought Bigtincan in April 2025, then acquired Showpad and completed the combination on October 30, 2025. The company operates under the Showpad brand and says it serves more than 2,000 customers in 50 countries. Showpad's site now lists Showpad Bigtincan Hub and Showpad Brainshark as products, and its Bigtincan Hub page says the product remains fully supported and actively developed.

For a buyer this means two of the largest platforms and the former Brainshark readiness product now sit inside two companies. That's fine for many teams, but it does change what you should ask before signing.

How a Product Change Reaches Reps in Each Tool

A release, a pricing change or a new positioning line has to make four stops before a rep can use it with a customer. Most teams lose it between the second and third stop, and it's rarely the software's fault: the announcement goes out, nobody confirms they read it, and the first time anyone checks is a customer call. This is where each tool in this guide does its main work.

  5. Across allSee who is ready

Only one tool in our research documents read tracking on announcements: Guru records open and read rates and reminds people who haven't read. Seismic, Highspot, Showpad, Mindtickle, Allego and SalesHood check readiness through quizzes, knowledge checks, certifications or scored role play instead. For a small change, a read receipt is often enough. For a pricing change that reps will be asked about on every call, though, a scored check is much safer proof.

How to Choose Sales Enablement Software

Most sales enablement platforms can store content and run a course, so the feature list rarely decides anything. Six checks separate them: where reps meet the change, what counts as proof, which package unlocks it, how old content disappears, who maintains it, and the contract terms.

  • Where your reps work. If they live in Salesforce, every full platform here integrates with it. If your CRM is HubSpot, check the integrations page: Allego, Spekit and Guru name HubSpot there. Seismic's and Showpad's main integrations pages lead with Salesforce and Microsoft, so test the HubSpot connection in a demo on your own portal. Microsoft Teams shops should check Spekit and SalesHood carefully, because neither lists a Teams integration.
  • What counts as proof of readiness. A read receipt (Guru), a knowledge check (Highspot, Spekit, Showpad Advanced), a certification (Seismic, Showpad Advanced, Mindtickle, SalesHood) or a scored role play (Mindtickle, Allego, Seismic, Highspot, Showpad, SalesHood). Decide which one your sales leaders will accept before you compare tools; it'll narrow the list fast.
  • Which package unlocks it. Training and certification often start one package up. Seismic Essential needs an add-on for lessons and certifications, Highspot's training starts at Better, and Showpad's knowledge checks start at Advanced.
  • How old content disappears. Expiry dates, version control and automatic replacement matter more than search speed once you ship monthly. Allego removes expired content from reps' view, and Guru assigns every card an owner and a review date.
  • Who maintains it. Full platforms need an owner who builds plays, programs and permissions. A team without a dedicated enablement person usually gets far more from a lighter tool it actually keeps current than from a suite nobody maintains.
  • Contract terms. Allego says a three-year term paid annually is typical. Ask every vendor for term length, minimum seats and the price of the package that contains your readiness feature.

A pilot on one real release shows more than any demo, because it tests the full path from approved message to a rep using it on a deal. We'd run this checklist during a trial.

Launch pilot checklist for a sales enablement trial
  • Pick one real release with an effective date and approved messaging
  • Load the new deck, one-pager and talk track, and retire the old versions
  • Send the announcement to SDRs, AEs and CSMs through the tool
  • Attach one readiness check: a quiz, a knowledge check or a short role play
  • Check who has seen it, who passed and who needs a reminder after two days
  • Open a live deal in your CRM and confirm the new content appears there
  • Ask three reps where they would look for the change next week

Full Enablement Platforms

Seismic, Highspot and Showpad are full suites: content, training, coaching and buyer sharing in one product. A full suite suits a team with a dedicated enablement function and several launches a quarter. If training is the main job, our guide to sales training software compares what each package unlocks.

Seismic

Best for a full launch program

Enablement platform 4.6 · 1,805 G2 reviews

Seismic treats a launch as a program: it names product launches as a use case for its Program Strategy and Execution module, which plans and tracks enablement initiatives across teams.

A release in practice: product marketing sets up the launch as a program, posts the announcement in a Channels news feed, and publishes the updated assets to the content library, where Aura AI tags them and answers rep questions with sourced replies. Enablement assigns a lesson with a knowledge check or certification and, on the Advanced and Ultimate packages, a Role-Play Agent practice. Lesson completion and program dashboards show who has finished. Seismic Learning is the former Lessonly.

Packaging really matters here. Seismic sells Essential, Advanced and Ultimate packages, and on Essential the lessons, certifications and the Role-Play Agent need a Learning add-on. Ultimate adds skills assessments and meeting intelligence. Seismic publishes no prices.

Choose it when
  • you run several launches a year and want the program, the announcement, the lesson and the certification tracked in one place
  • your sellers live in Salesforce or Microsoft Teams and need launch content surfaced there
Skip it when
  • you're buying the Essential package expecting training: lessons, certifications and the Role-Play Agent need an add-on there

G2 reviewers most often praise document management and ease of use. The recurring complaint is navigation: several reviews call the interface hard to find your way around, and G2's admin and setup scores trail its ease-of-use score.

Since August 2026 Seismic also owns Highspot. If you're choosing between the two, it's worth asking which product the combined company will invest in for your use case, and get the answer in your contract.

Highspot by Seismic

Best for launches packaged as plays

Enablement platform 4.7 · 1,206 G2 reviews

Highspot packages a release as a Sales Play: the new deck, the messaging and the talk track in one unit that appears to reps by persona, industry or deal stage, inside Highspot and inside Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Here is how a launch runs: product marketing builds the play from a template, attaches the launch content and publishes it to the teams and regions that need it. Reps see it on matching opportunities in the CRM. AI-generated knowledge checks attached to the key items test whether reps took in the content, and they're included in the entry Good package. With the Better package you can add a short course with test-out, role play inside training and automated nudges for people who haven't finished. Initiative Scorecards then show play usage and its effect per team.

Highspot sells three packages, Good, Better and Best, all by quote. Best adds meeting intelligence, role play for coaching and an MCP server, and Highspot content and agents can also be used from ChatGPT and Claude.

Choose it when
  • you want launches packaged as plays that show up on the right deals in Salesforce or Dynamics
  • you want AI knowledge checks on launch content without buying the training tier
Skip it when
  • you need courses, adaptive learning and automated nudging but plan to buy the entry package: those start at Better

How it works in practice

G2 reviewers most often praise how simple Highspot is for reps. The complaints come from the people who run it: a steep learning curve for admins and the work of keeping content current and tracking versions.

Highspot became Highspot by Seismic on August 18, 2026. Highspot says there are no migration plans for its customers. If you sign now, ask for your package and support terms to be fixed for the length of the contract.

Showpad

Best for buyer-facing launch content

Enablement platform 4.6 · 1,909 G2 reviews

Showpad starts from the content reps share with buyers: one governed library with tags, metadata and automation rules that drive recommendations, including inside the CRM.

For a launch, product marketing uploads the new assets and retires the old ones, and the rules put the new versions in front of the right reps. Enablement builds a short course with a test block. Showpad's help center describes single and multiple choice, text match and short answer questions, AI-generated questions and a default passing score of 75 percent, with an optional certificate. Managers send reminders, grade answers and review pitches from the My Team hub, and course results can be compared with win rates.

Showpad sells Professional, Advanced and Expert packages, licensed per user and priced by quote. Knowledge checks, certifications, Roleplay AI and the My Team manager hub start at Advanced. Expert adds custom AI agents and a remote MCP server.

Choose it when
  • your launch content is heavy on decks and videos that reps share with buyers
  • you want manager follow-up and certification in the same tool as the content

Readiness and Coaching Platforms

Mindtickle, Allego and SalesHood start from training, practice and certification. A readiness platform is the better pick when proving that reps can deliver the new message matters more than where the deck lives. If you're weighing them against call-scoring and AI role-play tools, our guide to the best sales coaching software sorts all of them by when the coaching happens.

Mindtickle

Best for proving reps can say it

Sales readiness platform 4.7 · 2,399 G2 reviews

Mindtickle is built around readiness: training programs, AI role play that can certify reps on a score, and a Readiness Index that compares each rep with an ideal profile.

The launch starts with a document: product marketing hands over the release document, and Mindtickle's AI turns existing documents into short training such as videos and podcasts, with an assessment. Enablement then builds an AI role-play scenario around the new messaging, with custom buyer personas and uploaded objections. Sessions run two to four minutes, and managers can set a score threshold that certifies reps automatically. The Readiness Index lines up skills against CRM results such as quota attainment and win rates, so you can see whether the launch training changed anything.

Content sits in a hub with version control, deal-based recommendations and page-level analytics that show who viewed which part of a document. We didn't find a dedicated feature for announcing new content to reps on Mindtickle's content pages. Slack notifications and Salesforce recommendations do the pushing.

Choose it when
  • proving reps can say the new message matters more than storing the deck

G2 reviewers praise the training content and the interactive coaching features. The recurring complaints are slow loading in the asset hub and digital sales rooms and fewer integrations than they wanted. Capterra shows 4.8 from 125 reviews.

Mindtickle fits teams that already have content somewhere else and need a readiness layer on top. If your main problem is that reps can't find the latest deck, though, you'd be better off starting with a content-first platform.

Allego

Best for multilingual role play

Learning, coaching and content platform 4.6 · 695 G2 reviews

Allego builds learning programs from material you already have, runs AI role plays scored against shared rubrics, and pushes campaigns to reps by role while expired content drops out of view.

In Allego, product marketing loads the launch deck and documents, and Allego's AI builds a program with courses, reinforcement and reminders. Enablement adds an AI role play built around the new messaging. Allego lists messaging rollouts as a role-play use case, supports 32 languages and scores attempts against a shared rubric. New assets go out as a campaign or play aligned to each rep's role, and old versions disappear automatically. Skills dashboards and content analytics, tied to pipeline and win rates, show what landed.

Allego 9, announced in May 2026, added AI deal alerts and SmartDocs, which generate battlecards, FAQs and job aids from approved material.

  • your team sells in several languages and needs role play in them
  • you want old launch material to disappear automatically when the new version ships

SalesHood

Best for a mid-size team with one owner

Enablement platform for mid-size teams 4.6 · 827 G2 reviews

SalesHood combines content, training Huddles with tests and pitch practice, an AI role-play builder and a manager review queue, and it publishes the usage limits of each plan even though prices come by quote.

In SalesHood the new deck and talk track go into the governed library, where an AI content audit flags outdated and underused assets. Enablement builds a Huddle with the assets, a test and a pitch-practice exercise and schedules it for the assigned sales and success teams, or chains several Huddles into a Path with a due date. Reps rehearse the new message in the AI role-play builder and get scored against criteria the team sets. Managers work through one review queue and get a weekly email of pending reviews. Readiness analytics show certification progress.

The plan limits are concrete. Essential allows 10 AI practice and role-play submissions per license, Pro 80, and Unlimited has no cap. Pro adds digital sales rooms, mutual action plans and guided selling.

Choose it when
  • you want training, pitch practice and content in one mid-size tool with plan limits you can read before a call

In-Workflow Knowledge Tools

Spekit and Guru put short answers and announcements where reps already work, in the CRM, the inbox, Slack or the browser. Both roll out faster than a suite and are weaker on formal training.

Spekit

Best for changes inside Salesforce

In-app enablement 4.7 · 303 G2 reviews

Spekit stores enablement content as small governed units called Speks and shows changes as Spotlights inside the tools reps use, from Salesforce to Gmail and Outlook.

When a release changes how reps work, product marketing updates the affected Speks, and the change reaches everywhere that content is embedded. A Spotlight then puts the announcement in front of reps inside their tools, which suits process changes such as a new pricing field or approval step in Salesforce. For readiness, the content goes into a Learning Path with an AI Knowledge Check. Later, the AI Sidekick recommends the updated assets on deals in Salesforce, Gmail and Outlook.

Spekit sells custom packages by quote. Its pricing page lists Spotlights in the base tier, while Knowledge Checks, the AI Sidekick and Slack and Outlook extensions appear in a higher tier. Deal rooms and revenue insights sit at the top.

Guru

Best for read receipts on a change

Verified knowledge base 4.7 · 2,323 G2 reviews

Guru is a verified knowledge base: every card has an owner and a review date, and Announcements show who opened and read a change, with reminders for everyone who didn't.

After a pricing or messaging change, product marketing updates the pricing, messaging or competitive cards and assigns a verifier and a review interval so they don't go stale. An Announcement then goes to the SDR, AE and CS groups through the Guru dashboard, browser extension, email, or Slack and Microsoft Teams. Guru tracks open and read rates, sends automatic or manual reminders, and lets you export acknowledgements over time. Reps find the updated cards later through AI search or knowledge triggers in Salesforce and HubSpot.

Guru now sells a custom package rather than published seat tiers, and it positions itself as a governed knowledge layer for company AI tools, with answers delivered in Slack and to other AI assistants over MCP.

If You Already Run HubSpot

HubSpot Sales Hub

Best if you run HubSpot CRM

CRM with sales content 4.4 · 13,200 G2 reviews

HubSpot Sales Hub isn't an enablement platform, but on HubSpot CRM it covers the basics: a shared library of tracked documents, playbooks that appear first on matching records, and content analytics.

On HubSpot, product marketing uploads the new deck to Documents and updates the email templates and sequences that still use the old message. On Professional and Enterprise, a playbook with recommendation rules puts the new talk track at the top of matching deal or contact records, and the playbook Analyze tab shows views and logs per rep. That usage is your only readiness signal. We found no announcement acknowledgement or quiz feature, so teams announce the change in Slack or Teams. For how HubSpot's playbooks compare with plays in other tools, see our guide to sales playbook software.

HubSpot's pricing page lists a free plan for up to two users, Starter from $7 per seat per month (shown against a struck-through $20), Professional from $90 (struck-through $100) and Enterprise from $150. Professional and Enterprise carry one-time onboarding fees of $1,500 and $3,500. Starter allows five playbooks.

How Much Does Sales Enablement Software Cost?

Only one tool in this guide publishes a price: HubSpot Sales Hub. Seismic, Highspot, Showpad, Mindtickle, Allego, SalesHood, Spekit and Guru sell by quote, usually per user per month on an annual contract. Third-party sites publish estimates for most of them, but they disagree widely, so we don't repeat them here.

What you can compare without a sales call is the package where quizzes, certification or role play start.

Is there free sales enablement software?

Yes, but only at the CRM end: HubSpot's free plan costs $0 for up to two users and includes basic CRM and sales tools, without playbook recommendation rules, training or quizzes. None of the eight dedicated enablement platforms in this guide lists a free plan or a free tier. For a small team testing whether enablement is worth it, a shared drive with clear version names, a recurring launch announcement and a short quiz in your existing tools is a free start, and a paid platform makes sense once launches are too frequent to track by hand.

FAQ

What is sales enablement content management?

Sales enablement content management is the library side of sales enablement software: one approved version of each deck, one-pager and battlecard, tagged by product, persona and deal stage, with owners and expiry dates so retired versions stop circulating. Seismic, Highspot, Showpad and Allego also recommend content on the deal inside the CRM.

Which sales enablement software works with HubSpot CRM?

Allego names HubSpot as a native CRM integration, and Spekit and Guru list it among their integrations. HubSpot Sales Hub covers documents and playbooks inside HubSpot itself. Seismic's and Showpad's main integrations pages lead with Salesforce and Microsoft, so ask them for a demo on your HubSpot portal.

Which sales enablement tool shows who read a product update?

Guru's Announcements track open and read rates and remind people who haven't read. Most other platforms check readiness through quizzes, knowledge checks, certifications or scored role play instead of read receipts.

Did Seismic buy Highspot?

Yes, Seismic bought Highspot: Seismic completed its merger with Highspot on August 18, 2026. The combined company operates as Seismic, and Highspot is now sold as Highspot by Seismic. Highspot says there are no migration plans for its customers.

How long does it take to roll out sales enablement software?

The rollout time for sales enablement software isn't published: none of the nine vendors in this guide states a standard timeline, so ask for one in writing. In-workflow tools such as Spekit and Guru start with content you already have and a browser extension, while full suites such as Seismic, Highspot and Showpad need content migration, permissions, CRM setup and trained admins first. Plan the first real release as the pilot and measure who was ready by its effective date.

Is a CRM like Salesforce or HubSpot sales enablement software?

A CRM like Salesforce or HubSpot is not sales enablement software on its own. A CRM tracks accounts, deals and activity. Enablement software adds governed content, training and readiness checks on top, and most platforms plug into the CRM so reps see the right content on each deal.
